Step One

Changing the design and view

Homepage: This is where you’ll see an overview of all your unread emails, along with several mailbox features. Head to the menu at the bottom left to access our 'Help' pages as well as your personal data by clicking ‘My Account’.
Email preview: Your GMX inbox is displayed in list form by default, but it’s possible to change this. Click the ‘Change view’ icon at the top right of your inbox to change your emails to display a preview of the message on the right side or at the bottom.
Email signature: Including a signature is a good idea for anyone who frequently writes formal emails or includes common greetings in their emails. Your contact information and/or greetings will automatically appear in every email you send. You can edit your signature in ‘Settings’.

Organizing and managing your emails

Folders

To the left of your inbox, you’ll see all your folders and the new emails you’ve received. You can create new folders with just one click, as well as edit existing folders, for example, if you want to change the storage time. Look in your ‘Settings’ for a complete summary of the storage space used in your folders and overall inbox.

Email alias

If you require an additional email address (if your name has changed, business account, etc.), it’s simple to create a new free email alias in your GMX mailbox. Regardless of which email address is used by your contacts, new emails will still end up in your inbox. You can use filter rules to automatically sort emails into different folders.
